Tuesday 1st August

Robin Phillips has been performing in and around
the London jazz scene for over a decade.
He is a singer/pianist absolutely committed to both disciplines. This passion drew him to singer / instrumentalists such as Nat King Cole, Harry Connick Jr, Chet Baker, and Bob Dorough; but he is also inspired by jazz vocalists such as Mark Murphy, King Pleasure, Mel Torme and Jon Hendricks.

Tonight Robin will recreate the classic line-up favoured by Nat King Cole of piano/vocals, guitar and bass, as the trio delve into Nat’s unbelievable collection of songs... Robin may not have penned them but he is undoubtedly  inextricably linked to that great artist!

Join us at AnniesJazz  tonight for this fabulous trio's work on so many of those classic Nat hits!

                    KEVIN FITZSIMMONS QUINTET

The American Songbook At Its Best!
Kevin Fitzsimmons (vocals)
Ross Stanley (keys)
Sandy Suchodolski (bass)
Matt Home (drums)
Frank Griffith (sax)
"His voice is an irresistible mix of Sinatra, Bennett & Buble, backed by a world class band" says Jazz FM about charismatic jazz singer Kevin Fitzsimmons, who takes a break from starring in big band concert ‘Sinatra Sequins & Swing - The Capitol Years Live! to bring his brilliant Bennett-To-Buble: The American Songbook At Its Best!’ show to us following eight sell-outs of this very show at Ronnie Scott’s. The show itself is a clever mix of the popular standards covered by Messrs Bennett, Buble & Co., so expect songs like:
The Good Life
Don’t Get Around Much Any More
I’ve Grown Accustomed To Her Face
Feeling Good
Steppin’ Out

and many more, re-styled with sophistication and verve.

Accompanying Kevin will be his unstoppably swinging band, described by JAZZWISE Magazine in review of his album as “the cream of UK’s straight-ahead jazz musicians, solid and groove a-plenty”.

London-born Kevin is one of most individual male jazz voices to emerge on the UK jazz scene in recent times. He plays all the main London jazz clubs, has enjoyed several jazz festival appearances including Cheltenham, enjoyed sell-outs with his band at venues all around the UK, had a one hour live concert broadcast on Jazz FM plus TV appearance on E4′s Made In Chelsea

Furthermore, Kevin’s vocal talent has been featured on TV and radio commercials both in UK and Europe, - including a TV advert with Hollywood movie star Naomi Watts. He’s been booked by deluxe brands like Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Reel Art Press for campaigns/promotions in New York, Far East & London and has entertained Royalty twice.
                  “Unique interpretations, superb presence,
                                    unique personality.

Robert Rickenberg - Bass
Lynne Cuttill - Sax
It seems we cannot get enough of this foot stomping piano playing singer songwriter in the name of Jordan!
After a hugely successful dance night in May Jordan returns with Josh Law back on drums and the fabulous
Lynne Cuttill on sax.

Hitting the live circuit from the age of seventeen years old, Jordan started out playing the piano in local pubs and clubs playing a mix of rock’n’roll, blues and boogie woogie. Over the years he has developed his own style and incorporated this into all genres of music.
